What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files containing information that are stored in your browser when you access a website. The browser then enables the website to read the information in this cookie.

Cookies are placed in the following three ways:
1) A time-limited cookie remains on the visitor’s device for a predetermined period of time. The lifespan may vary between different types of cookies.

2) A session cookie is temporarily stored in the device’s memory while a visitor is on a website. A session cookie disappears when the website visitor closes the browser window. Session cookies are used, among other things, to record statistics on the use of the website.

3) Permanent cookies remain until you choose to delete them. These cookies are used, among other things, to store any of the personal settings which you have set at Swedencare’s websites so that you, for example, do not have to re-enter certain choices regarding your personal settings every time you visit the website, and to adapt and make information and marketing as relevant as possible for you.

What Cookies does Swedencare use?

Swedencare uses cookies in order to improve Swedencare’s websites and the user experience for the website visitors. This is done e.g. by adapting the website to the visitor’s preferences, choices and interests, enabling tracking of which items you have placed in your shopping cart, ensuring that the website visitor stays logged in on the website, and enabling the adaptation of our services so that you receive relevant marketing.
We have divided and categorized the cookies we use into four different categories to make it easier for you to make your choices:
Necessary: Cookies that are essential for the safe and proper functioning of the website. These cookies can therefore not be switched off or opted out of.

Functional
: Cookies that are used to remember your personalized settings, which affect the way the website looks and works based on your browser settings.

Analytical and Statistical
: Analytical and statistical cookies provide information on how our website is used and allow us to develop and improve our website, and by extension, your user experience as a website visitor.

Marketing and Social Media:
Cookies used to track users across multiple domains so that we can provide relevant and customized marketing on other websites or channels based on your browsing behavior.
All cookies which Swedencare uses are found in our Cookie Banner.

Third Party Cookies

Third party cookies are stored by someone other than the person responsible for the website, i.e. a company other than Swedencare. Swedencare uses third party cookies for marketing on other platforms and for the monitoring of our advertising. Swedencare uses marketing partners that help to make our marketing and the content of the website more relevant to you. Therefore, cookies from such partner companies (consisting of time-limited and session cookies) are also saved when you visit our websites.
For more information on how we process personal data in connection with transfers to third parties, see the section ‘Processing of Personal Data and Transfers to Third Countries’ below.
For more information on which third party cookies Swedencare uses, please see our Cookie Banner.

Managing Cookie Settings

Processing of Personal Data and Transfers to Third Countries

When you consent to Swedencare’s use of cookies, this means that you consent to our processing of your personal data, more specifically IP address, geographical location, website behavior data and user ID.
Some third party cookie providers are based outside the EU/EEA area, so called ‘third countries’. This means that when you consent to the placement of third-party cookies provided by companies such as Google, your personal data may be transferred to a third country, in particular to the United States. In third countries, the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) (‘GDPR’) does not apply, which means increased risk exposure for your personal data, including the possibility for authorities in third countries to access the personal data and your ability to exercise your rights as a data subject.
Read more about our personal data processing in our Data Privacy Policy here.
